As much as we all loved Kylie’s legendary ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’, Victoria Beckham’s ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ was a major obsession of mine in 2001.
I even wrote out all the lyrics in my 2001 school diary! Fuck, it’s a miracle I had any friends at all.
But as time went by, I managed my public displays of “VB obsession” with a mixture of reductive irony and self-loathing. I would kinda bag the song but then run off with my Discman to listen to the CD single on repeat.
